There is a strong melancholy to Butterstone, and I would place Over The Hebrides (with a lovely nod to Laurence Olivier and 's A Little Romance) and Lady Nairne's "Will Ye No Come Back Again" as the high points. I think "Will Ye No " is my all time favourite of this song - Dougie nails it! Hard CD 5/5(6). Search songs (Note: This album is the same as the Bitrektual album in every way except for the cover art) The sexual virtues of Data are sung, Tribbles are deflowered, Worf reveals what other parts of his body are ridged and Luke is horribly violated by every monster in the Cantina in this unbridled, X-rated romp through the Star Trek and Star Wars universes. Dougie MacLean Official Site. Dougie MacLean, originally famed for writing the song 'Caledonia', has built an international reputation as songwriter, composer and extraordinary performer on his own terms. This talent has taken his performance to concerts and festivals all over the world and to the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York, London’s Festival Theatre and the Sydney Opera House. While "Singing Land" will never be my favorite Dougie MacLean album, I am still very glad to have it. Unlike his latest album "Who Am I" (yet to be released in America), every song on "Singing Land" is not a masterpiece. Yet they are all solid at the very least--with a few great ones thrown in for good measure.5/5(3). 1. Jamie's Song Lyrics: Hold out your little hand / Open up your little eyes / Daddy is waiting here / To comfort all your newborn cries / A little smile upon your face / Looking up in sweet surprise.
  2. There's been a live CD, available on the internet and by mail order, called "Dougie MacLean - Live: From Two Ends Of This Earth". Yet the rather exhausting title means what it says. The album is an amalgam two different performances, one in Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall and the other recorded live, at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, in Australia.

  8. For the fourth and final movement, MacLean has composed a seamless potpourri of songs that range from the gentle ebb and flow of "Rannoch" to the rollicking ramble of "Butterstone Puddock," while fresh variations on the themes of "Castle Menzies" and "Perthshire Amber" bookend MacLean's vocals on the meditative "The Things We Love.".
